\"IMG_5650\"<\/a>Coming to us from New York City, Jesse Nissim <\/strong>(SRPR Editors\u2019 Prize Contest 2013 Winner) is author of four poetry chapbooks. Jesse kicked off SRPR\u2019s Lucia Getsi Reading Series Event on April 10, 2014. Listen to this recording of her reading, which includes \u201cFire\u201d (Nissim\u2019s contest-winning poem) as well as poems from her full-length collection, Day Cracks between the Bones of a Foot <\/i>(Furniture Press Books), that deal with her experience of being injured as a dancer\u2014of trying to get inside the body: \u201cDiagram for the Dream of Flight,\u201d the collection\u2019s title poem and \u201cFinale.\u201d Jesse also reads from her more recent collection, Nesting Instincts<\/i>. These untitled poems are inspired by the economic crisis, ideas of housing and shelter, and represent Jesse\u2019s work with found texts and collage. Listen (and laugh along!) to this recording of Jason\u2019s humorous reading, which includes \u201cWhat to Expect,\u201d Doctor Bronson,\u201d \u201cYellow,\u201d \u201cDairy of a Werewolf,\u201d \u201cBeating A Dead Horse,\u201d \u201cStalker,\u201d \u201cCarnival\u201d and \u201cRoman Candle,\u201d among others.<\/p>\n
